Several times a month I read a report of alleged or confirmed Fair Housing law violations. But this is the first time I have ever heard of a handicapped parking space that is also posted for 15-minute parking only.
The news report does not identify the name the Jacksonville area Association.
Where is the common sense? This is a residential association, not a take-out restaurant. How does a 15-minute parking space accommodate the needs of a disabled person?
The towing company obviously reaps the benefit of this policy. Does the management company also generate revenue from the towing company?
The owners of this Association now face potential liability for a fair housing lawsuit.
