Bright House Networks to pull out of troubled condominiums
Decision made after technician falls victim to armed robbery
Bright House Networks said it plans to cut service to the crime-plagued Tymber Skan Condominiums in Orange County.
The decision was made after a Bright House Networks service technician was robbed at gunpoint.
“I’m going to be severely limited in what I can do,” resident Jean Riess said.
Riess said she won’t be able to work online to supplement her Social Security check after Bright House cuts service to the complex.
“Loss of income, loss of entertainment, I don’t know about you, but I prefer not to stare at four walls all day,” Riess said.
A representative for Bright House Networks said one of its technicians was held at gunpoint in the complex in July. A letter was sent to company employees on Aug. 21 that said service would be cut Monday.
