Wishing you Happy Holidays!

By Deborah Goonan, Independent American Communities

Today I want to thank my readers for following this blog. Special thanks to those who regularly forward news reports and articles that provide blog ideas.

In the crazy, often-chaotic world of Association-Governed Residential Communities, there often aren’t enough hours in the day to cover all the current events.

I strive to provide you a diverse sample of important issues, so you will see the Big Picture and recognize common threads of dysfunction in homeowner, condo, and cooperative associations all over the US.

I believe there are solutions for every vexing problem, and that good people working together can make great things happen.

That’s why I also share reports of efforts by consumer and housing advocates all across the nation. Look for more momentum in 2016.

Let’s continue to educate and enlighten consumers, elected officials, and the general public with the truth. Let’s make our voices heard.

Let’s value the rights of people, and promote the importance of safe housing and welcoming communities, rather than merely pursuing elusive and shallow “property values.”

After, all, one of the reasons we celebrate the holidays is because we believe that Caring turns a house into a Home, and a Subdivision into a true Community.

However you celebrate the holidays, I wish you Joy and Peace today and in the year ahead.

Merry Christmas!
