HAMILTON COUNTY GRAND JURY INDICTS FORMER HIDDEN HARBOR HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT

This case has been under investigation, and a former Board President from Hidden Harbor Homeowners’ Association, Hamilton County, Tennessee, was recently arrested.

 

Accused homeowner association embezzler placed on probation

Results following investigation of three family members accused of stealing $84,000 from Skyview Estate HOA, Richland County, Pennsylvania:

Dennis P. Michaels, 57, has repaid $17,390 and will serve 9 months probation for his role in the theft.

Charges have been dropped against Dennis’ wife, Julia S. Michaels,62.

Their daughter Julianna Theresa Zamias, 32, owes roughly $82,000, according to investigators, an amount that includes theft of 2 tractors as well as cash embezzlements. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for May 4.

 

N4T Investigators: Former HOA accountant sentenced

Joshua Bonillas has agreed to pay back $43,000 he admits to stealing from Presidio Villas II subdivision (Pima County Arizona), from 2012 to 2014, when he served as the accountant for the Association. He was sentenced to three years of probation.

 

Property manager pleads guilty to condo theft, official says

Raymond Gonazalez, a previous manager for Berkeley Carteret Condo Association in Jersey City, New Jersey, pleads guilty to theft. A plea deal calls for restituion of $41,000 and probation, with sentencing scheduled for the end of April.

Gonzalez colleague Raul Miranda was ordered to repay $16,000, and is scheduled for pre-trial intervention.

Charges against Jose Astuto of Queen Remodeling have been dismissed.

Homeowners are bitterly disappointed in the restitution settlement, and maintain that the actual amount of money stolen was far greater than the amount of restitution recommended by plea deals.
